Game Boy / Game Boy Advance

Game Boy Advance

Check it out, it's my Game Boy Advance SP, the model with a backlight as opposed to a front light Nintendo why even consider on the front. Regardless this console was just great, it had a library of pretty great games and was backwards compatible with pretty much every Game Boy and Game Boy Color game which is super radical. I don't know how to end this paragraph.

Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land

Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land

To outsiders you might believe this to be the third Mario Land game, but when you get down to it that is a lie it's actually the start of the Wario Land series. For a first game it's pretty damn solid. It can be a bit slow for my liking, but it's fun bashing enemies and collecting treasure and going for all the secret treasures in order to achieve the best ending where, spoilers, Wario now owns a planet in the shape of his face. Great start.

Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog

Frogger's Adventures: Temple of the Frog

Hey look a Frogger game on Game Boy Advance, how wacky? It's a fine game on it's own but it's kind of easy and really short. Now I'm someone who enjoys a short game, but the problem with this game is that there's not really a lot of meat on its bones in terms of gameplay, being really straightforward with not a lot of depth. You're better off buying this game in a lot, possibly with another Frogger game on Game Boy Advance, as a warm up.

Frogger's Adventures 2: The Lost Wand

Frogger's Adventures 2: The Lost Wand

Remember how I said "You're better off buying this game in a lot, possibly with another Frogger game on Game Boy Advance, as a warm up" in the previous paragraph? Well this is the game I was talking about. This game is WAY better than Temple of the Frog. It's got tighter gameplay, deeper mechanics, and overall is the more complete game. I would definitely recommend this game since it's so cheap.

Mario Kart Super Circuit

Mario Kart Super Circuit

I respect Mario Kart Super Circuit for being the first handheld Mario Kart, they did the best they could with the hardware they were given. But in the end it's okay. I kind of suck at the game so that kind sucks but I have had some good amount of enjoyment from it. Not bad but I suppose you could do better? The most memorable thing about this game for me is that I tried to unlock Waluigi for a while since I wasn't seeing any information saying that he couldn't be unlocked. A fruitless endeavour but like what else was I gonna do in the game lol.

Pac-Man Collection

Pac-Man Collection

I got this game for like $5 or less than $5 I can't really remember. But yeah it's Pac-man Collection, the perfect game to realize that you may not be into Pac-Man. Got this game since I enjoyed Pac-Man's foray into the 3D platformer in Pac-Man World 1 and 2. To be fair I did enjoy the game for quite a bit, Pac-Attack was fun and Pac-Man Arrangement was pretty wild, but I just kinda sucked so it was a bit hard to truly appreciate the Pac-Man formula. Still though if you enjoy Pac-Man I suppose this wouldn't be a bad game to have.

Wario Land 4

Wario Land 4

Here we are, the best video game on the Game Boy Advance ever. I don't care if you think there's another game that's better and I definitely don't care if I have yet to play 1% of the Game Boy Advance's library, I'm calling it here Wario Land 4 is the best Game Boy Advance game ever. It's got the bestest gameplay, the bestest music, the bestest graphics, and it doesn't even dare waste your time with collectibles or objectives. The replay value is not in getting like 20 different things in each level, but just by playing the game because it's so fast and intense. You will never be able to convince me that there is a better Game Boy Advance game in either of our entire lives.

Flash Cards

Flash Cards

I figured I'd throw these in here since they are cartridge shaped, I did play on them, and I remember playing on them. For those unaware, flash cards like these were used to download games and put them in one cartridge, my father doing this as to give me more games to play without spending a lot of money which we we're tighter on back then. The games on them mostly consisted of liscenced games because of course there were I was like 2 and I ate it up.
