Nintendo 64
Oh the Nintendo 64, with your stupid controller and stupid cartridges and stupid amount of games, yet I can't help but love it. The controller was revolutionary and very charming, a majority of its library is quality and had Glover. So yeah I like the thing here are some games I own for it.
Oh yeah I'd just like to add that if you're playing with an authentic Nintendo 64 controller please lubricate it, The way it's designed means that the joystick is gonna create a lot of friction and wear itself down overtime until it just doesn't work and if you're anything like me then you would feel pretty shit if you were responsible for destroying old stuff like that. Just make sure you do it asap there are plenty of tutorials for that on YouTube.
Glover
This is my beloved copy of Glover, one of my favorite characters. The game's a bit jank but it's just so charming and I love Glover he's got the best character design. It's a glove with a face, he runs around then does a ground pound by turning into a fist it's simple yet effective I love it so much. The game's also pretty cheap at least for a Nintendo 64 game so if you're starting to collect for the system I'd recommend Glover, not a bad addition at all. Gotta love that glove.
Super Mario 64
Yeah I own Super Mario 64 on the Nintendo 64, I'm brave. To be real though I didn't really enjoy this game all that much. The controls were pretty solid and there were good levels that I had a fun time running around in, but the jank was a bit too much for me sometimes. Now why I don't like this game that much because of jank compared to Super Mario Sunshine which I do like I have no idea. Also pro tip don't go out of your way of buying a manual for a game you don't know if you'll like, especially if it didn't come in a typical plastic case like for Nintendo 64 games.
Rayman 2: The Great Escape
Rayman 2? More like Raymid 2 am I right? Nah not really. But honestly it is just okay. I really liked the shell segments, especially the flying ones, and it was charming at times, but the rest of the game was just okay. I can definitely see why so many people love it so much but yeah that's just me. It's also decently cheap like Glover but you need the N64 Controller Pak to save data so it's not really that cheap so unless you're already aiming for one then idk.
Space Station Silicon Valley
Definitely the most obscure Nintendo 64 in my collection, and what a hidden gem it is. Basically you're in a space station and you gotta get your robot parts back by latching onto the robot animals there with your robot microchip and using their special abilities to solve puzzles. It's a very interesting game with a lot of charm and some absolute banger music like holy shit it's so good. Coming off of Glover I thought it'd be like that, not bad but not too awfully memorable. But this game has some serious groove to it and it's so good it's a hard recommend from me.
